Construction of 5th Terminal of Kish Airport Starts

KISH With a budget of Rls 2,245 million the construction work for building the fifth terminal of Kish Island airport has begun, said the director of the Kish International Airport, Nosratollah Yousefi here Sunday. He told IRNA that the terminal is being built on a 5,500 square meters area and its construction is financed by the Organization of Kish Free Trade Zone (FTZ). He added that, Kish Airport has four terminals and is estimated that construction of the fifth one will take up to 11 months.
Yousefi also stated that currently the airport handles 18 to 20 flights daily, transporting more than 2,000 passengers between the Island and the mainland. (IRNA)
